Buying Parts
How do I know if a part will fit my vehicle?
Each listing includes detailed compatibility information including year, make, model, and trim level. Sellers verify fitment before listing, and our system cross-references OEM part numbers. You can also message sellers directly to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
What payment methods are accepted?
PrjctX accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and PayPal. All payments are processed securely through Stripe with PCI-compliant encryption.
How does shipping work on PrjctX?
Sellers handle their own shipping - they set their own shipping costs, choose their carriers, and ship items directly to you. You'll see the exact shipping cost on each listing before checkout. This seller-managed model allows for competitive rates and flexible options.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times vary by seller and carrier chosen. Most sellers ship within 1-3 business days after purchase. Standard ground shipping typically takes 3-7 business days. Check the listing or message the seller for specific delivery estimates.
How do I track my order?
Once the seller ships your order, you'll receive tracking information via email. You can also view tracking details in your PrjctX dashboard under "My Orders". Sellers use major carriers like USPS, UPS, and FedEx.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
PrjctX offers a 30-day return policy on most items. If a part is defective, damaged during shipping, or not as described, you can return it for a full refund. Some items like electrical components may have different return policies noted in the listing.
How do I return an item?
To initiate a return, go to "My Orders" in your dashboard, select the order, and click "Request Return". Describe the issue and upload photos if applicable. The seller will provide a return shipping label within 2 business days.
What if I receive a defective or wrong part?
Contact the seller immediately through our messaging system. For defective or incorrectly shipped items, you're entitled to a full refund including return shipping costs. Our buyer protection program covers you for 30 days after purchase.
How long do refunds take to process?
Once the seller confirms receipt of the returned item, refunds are processed within 3-5 business days. The refund will appear on your original payment method. Credit card refunds may take an additional 5-10 days depending on your bank.
Selling Parts
How do I start selling on PrjctX?
Create an account, complete seller verification (ID and address verification), and you're ready to list! Go to your dashboard and click "Create Listing" to add your first part. Provide detailed descriptions, clear photos, and accurate fitment information for best results.
What are the selling fees?
PrjctX charges a competitive commission only when your item sells. There are no listing fees for standard listings. Premium sellers get reduced commission rates and additional features. Visit our Pricing page for detailed fee information.
How do I become a verified seller?
Complete our seller verification process which includes ID verification, address confirmation, and linking a valid payment method. Verified sellers receive a badge that increases buyer trust and can lead to more sales.
When do I get paid for my sales?
Payments are released to your account after the buyer confirms delivery and the protection period ends (typically 3 days after delivery). You can withdraw funds to your bank account, which takes 2-3 business days.
How do I create effective listings?
Use high-quality photos from multiple angles, write detailed descriptions including measurements and condition, provide accurate fitment information (year/make/model), and price competitively. Include part numbers when available for better searchability.
Trust & Safety
Are sellers verified on PrjctX?
Yes! All sellers go through our verification process which includes identity verification and address confirmation. Look for the verified badge on seller profiles. We also monitor seller activity and remove bad actors to maintain marketplace quality.
How does buyer protection work?
Our buyer protection program covers you for 30 days after purchase. If an item doesn't arrive, arrives damaged, or isn't as described, you're eligible for a full refund. We hold payment in escrow until you confirm receipt of your order.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your full credit card number on our servers. All data is encrypted using SSL/TLS technology.
How do I report a problem with a seller?
Use the "Report" button on any listing or seller profile to flag issues. You can also contact our support team directly. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, including removing sellers who violate our policies.
Account & Technical
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your email. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. For security, reset links expire after 24 hours.
Can I change my username?
Usernames can be changed once every 30 days. Go to Settings > Profile to update your username. Note that your old username will become available for others to use, and your profile URL will change.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You must complete any pending transactions first. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your listings and purchase history will be removed.
Why am I not receiving email notifications?
Check your spam/junk folder first. Add noreply@prjctx.net to your contacts. You can also manage notification preferences in Settings > Notifications. Make sure your email address is verified in your account settings.
