Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Bypass Control Circuit/Open

The electronic valve that bypasses the exhaust gas recirculation cooler is stuck open, disconnected, or has an electrical circuit break. This valve controls how much hot exhaust bypasses cooling, and a malfunction can cause overheating or poor emission control. Engine performance and emissions control will be compromised.
