Unable To Engage Gear 6

The transmission is unable to engage sixth gear, indicating a mechanical or electrical problem with the sixth gear clutches, bands, or solenoids. The transmission will not upshift to sixth gear even when driving conditions allow it. The engine will remain at higher RPM than necessary, reducing fuel efficiency.
