Unable To Engage Gear 4

The transmission is unable to engage fourth gear, indicating a failure in the fourth gear clutches, bands, or shift solenoids. The transmission will not upshift past third gear or will fail to maintain fourth gear. This severely limits acceleration and increases engine RPM at highway speeds.
