Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit (Bank 1)

The intake valve timing solenoid on the left side of the engine has a general electrical or mechanical fault that prevents it from controlling valve timing. This solenoid allows the engine to adjust when intake valves open for better performance and emissions, so when it fails the engine timing stays locked in one position. The vehicle may have poor fuel economy, reduced power, or rough running.
